Autumn Jewels

Autumn Jewels is an original  mixed media painting by Emmeline WEBB. A rich, warm celebration of autumn, its colours, foraging, textures and the magical transformation of t he season.  

The initial layers are worked in watercolours and inks, before a top masking out layer in acrylic is added. I then use dip pens and drawing inks to draw onto the painted surface. Final embellishments are made using acrylic painting pens. These paintings are worked on over number of days allowing all the layers to dry before the next layers application and take around a week to create. 

32x32cm in size, on 350gsm watercolour cold pressed paper. Comes mounted in a 50x50cm off white mount and backing board. There is a second painting titled: Autumn Magic (see images). Both were created to compliment one and other.
