This painting was inspired by my love of botanical forms, gardens and fifties surface design. I wanted to create an artwork that shows these forms in their simplest parred back way, yet colouring them in a vibrant and playful manner.

My love of stained glass is evident in this work too. Yet its duel purpose, was also to be used as a repeat design for wallpapers and textiles (see images). It's proven to be one of my most popular of surface designs to date, and a personal favourite of mine.
