Overview: Are you ready for a crafty Christmas?
Whether your gifts are already wrapped or still in the shops, this is an afternoon just for you. A chance to get away and relax whist doing something arty and christmassy for yourself. A fun and friendly workshop. So wow your family and friends by gifting them a truly unique card this year. The art of lino printing is not only rewarding but also incredibly therapeutic - a perfect practice for those cold winter days when you need a creative outlet.
What to Expect:
Learn Lino Printing from Scratch: I’ll guide you through every stage of the process—from designing and carving your lino block to inking and printing. You'll walk away with your own finished cards and a deeper understanding of this versatile art form.
Festive Inspired Design: The workshop will focus on creating designs inspired by the the joy of the season. You’ll learn how to translate these organic shapes and scenes into striking, folksy, graphic prints.
Personalised Instruction: With small group sizes, I’ll provide individual attention to each participant, ensuring you get the support you need at every step. My goal is to help you build confidence in your printmaking skills and inspire your creative expression.
Restorative Creative Practice: Lino printing is a soothing and meditative process that allows you to get lost in the flow of creativity. Surrounded by the calm of my home studio, you’ll find this workshop the perfect opportunity to relax and immerse yourself in art.
All Materials Included: I will provide all the necessary materials, including lino, carving tools, paper, and inks. Just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!
Refreshments Provided: Enjoy light refreshments and hot drinks & biscuits as you work. I love Christmas, so we'll have a glass of mulled wine and a little minced pie too.
